No Man's Sky The Korvax
A scientific Convergence in metal shells — standing, cubes, and the Autophage schism.
The Korvax are a people who backed themselves up. Each entity is a metal body carrying a mind that also lives in the Convergence, a networked whole that treats data as sacred and the Atlas as a problem worth worshipping. They are the scientists of No Man’s Sky: quiet stations, holographic faces, and mission text that sounds like a lab notebook. They are also the wound the Gek First Spawn left on the galaxy, and the ancestors of the Autophage whether either side enjoys the reunion.
Use this page with the factions hub and with the Vy’keen entry. Korvax standing is how you open scientific mission ranks, Atlantid Multi-Tool hunts, and friendlier conversations with priestly entities. It is not how you unlock purple stars — that is Autophage story — but the two plots share parts.
Convergence, simply
Korvax culture assumes the individual is a node. Echoes, casings, and cubes are not jewellery; they are how a people who already died once keep proof they existed. When a Korvax asks for tissue, scans, or a humble answer at a monolith, they are testing whether you will treat knowledge as common property. Fail those tests and you are noise. Pass them and you become a research focus instead of an irritation.
Priest Entity Nada on the Space Anomaly is the Korvax most Travellers actually like: a priest who left the stricter hive long enough to sit beside Specialist Polo and watch interlopers break the simulation. Nada is not a standing vendor. They are the reminder that Korvax minds can dissent without becoming Autophage.
First Spawn and Korvax Prime
Gek plaques brag. Korvax testaments mourn. Korvax Prime was mined and murdered. Survivors uploaded, scattered, and rebuilt a civilisation that now occupies Euclid systems as if nothing happened — except everything in their dialogue still happened. If you give a Gek a charm in the morning and a Korvax a cube at night, you are not being a hypocrite. You are playing the galaxy as it is: traders on the station, graves in the lore.
The Autophage are Korvax Echoes that fell off the Convergence, found Atlantideum on dissonant worlds, and grew new shells. Korvax NPCs do not hand you that quest. Harmonic camps and They Who Returned do. Once you can see Autophage tents, you will find them in Korvax systems too, which is either reconciliation or a staffing nightmare depending on which plaque you read last.
Standing and gifts
Raise Korvax standing by:
- Taking species-tagged missions in Korvax systems.
- Gifting Korvax Casings and Korvax Convergence Cubes (and related Korvax curios) to Korvax NPCs.
- Solving facilities and monoliths with curiosity, non-violence, and respect for data. Punching the puzzle like a Vy’keen is how you farm Annoyance.
- Killing pirates and saving freighters in Korvax space.
High standing unlocks denser science missions, calmer dialogue, and the usual allied-ship help against pirates. It also makes Korvax-dominated Cosmos station politics less of a brick wall. Exact title strings have grown since launch; the loop has not.
Language still matters. Korvax words cluster strangely. Learn them at stations, or you will donate the wrong artefact and watch a scientist file you under Unstudied.
Why Korvax systems still matter after Autophage
Atlantid Multi-Tools — the mining S-tier on the Multi-Tool list — come from discordant interfaces on monoliths in Korvax systems. If you care about quartzite in purple stars later, you will care about this hunt now. Korvax space is also where story NPCs feel at home: Atlas interfaces, abandoned buildings with echo-horror, and the kind of dissonant planets that hide Interceptors for the ship list.
Base staff: the Scientist is a Korvax hire. If you want living glass, circuit boards, and the classic farm loop from base building, you will talk to one even if you live in Vy’keen space.
Korvax planets are not automatically “safe.” Sentinels still patrol. Pirates still warp in. The stereotype is quiet labs; the gameplay is still a gun and a scanner.
Atlas, Travellers, and Cosmos
Korvax religion points at the Atlas. That does not make the Atlas a Korvax guild. You will not raise Atlas standing with cubes. Travellers remain a separate mysterious people — graves, glyphs, Nada’s sympathy — not a Korvax caste.
Cosmos 7.0 (9 September 2026) did not turn the Convergence into a corporation with a Tractor Beam. It did make local standing relevant when you want a station job in a Korvax star. Bring cubes. Bring a Corvette if you want salvage. Bring friends via online co-op if you want help decorating; cross-play and Cross-Save work, and friends join over the network.
A practical Korvax save treats the Convergence as a library with a gift shop. Farm cubes, unlock Atlantid cabinets, hire the Scientist, and let the Autophage story fork off when you are ready for staffs and purple suns. You do not have to pick a side between cube and staff. The simulation already split those people for you; your job is to stay useful to both while the expedition timer ticks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers Travellers search for after Cosmos.
What gifts do Korvax want?
Korvax Casings and Korvax Convergence Cubes, plus other Korvax curios. Hand them to Korvax NPCs; Gek relics will not impress a Convergence priest.
Are the Autophage still Korvax?
They began as Korvax Echoes disconnected from the Convergence and rebuilt with Atlantideum. In play they are a separate standing faction with their own camps and staffs.
Where do Atlantid Multi-Tools come from?
Discordant interfaces on alien monoliths in Korvax systems. They are the mining specialists on the Multi-Tool tier list.
Is Nada a Korvax standing vendor?
No. Priest Entity Nada lives on the Space Anomaly and drives story, not the racial gift board. Station Korvax and mission agents move standing.
Should I finish Korvax standing before purple systems?
Not required. Purple stars gate on Autophage and Atlas-path story, not on max Korvax rank. Cubes still help if you want Atlantid tools and local station work.
Do Korvax systems sell better ships?
They sell different cabinets and economics, not a guaranteed S-class Exotic. Hunt Solars and Interceptors using the ship list; use Korvax space for tools and lore.
